Bakesbangpol Involves Ormas to Socialize Health Protocols

The actions we take are monitoring and socialization through banners about health protocols

Community organizations (Ormas) under Jakarta National and Political Unity Agency (Bakesbangpol) are continuously involved to combat transmission of COVID-19 during the transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the capital.

Jakarta Bakesbangpol Head Taufan Bakri said those organizations involved were Early Awareness Society Forum (FKDM), Nationality Assimilation Forum (FPK) and Interfaith Communication Forum (FKUB). They had been involved to support the Jakarta Provincial Government since a few months ago.

Council Encourages Bakesbangpol to Improve Program Innovation

"The actions we take are monitoring and socialization through banners about health protocols to the public to prevent the spread of the disease," he expressed, Tuesday (8/4).

He explained one of the efforts conducted was producing results.

"That is the compliance of citizens complying with health protocols when performing worship in mosques, churches and other places of worship is very high. Thanks to the hard work of religious leaders who are members of FKDM who have conducted supervision and socialization," he explained.

He added FKDM members at the sub-district, city and provincial level also monitored the implementation of health protocols in a number of locations, such as office buildings, businesses or markets and so on, the results of which were reported every day.
